The 2017 season hasn’t gone like the Nebraska Cornhuskers thought. Sitting with a 3-4 record through the first seven games, the Huskers are in danger of missing a bowl game. To qualify for postseason play, the Huskers need to win three of their five remaining games.

Despite an uncertain future, redshirt freshman wide receiver JD Spielman is putting together an impressive first season in Lincoln.

Besides sitting towards the top in those categories, Spielman has 31 catches for 475 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.

Known for his speed, Spielman has also made some impressive catches this year, including a 77-yard TD reception against Ohio State last Saturday.
