The B1G is home to some of the biggest stadiums, most passionate fanbases and best gameday experiences in the country. But for Jim Harbaugh, one venue made a lasting impression from the 2021 season.

It was the experience at Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium that left Harbaugh thoroughly impressed. And because the game was such a dogfight, the atmosphere was even better.

Meeting up with Will Compton and Taylor Lewan on Barstool Sports’ Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, Harbaugh spoke glowingly about the experience in Lincoln.

“That was insane. What an atmosphere,” Harbaugh said of Michigan’s game against Nebraska at Memorial Stadium. “That gameday experience at Memorial was off the chain, as the young people say. The music, the thing they do between the third and fourth quarter.”

The October matchup between Michigan and Nebraska was an instant classic. Despite owning a 13-0 halftime lead, the Wolverines got a scare from the Cornhuskers, who took a late 29-26 lead with 7 minutes remaining in the game.

Michigan was able to make enough plays down the stretch and relied on the leg of Jake Moody to connect on a pair of late field goals to post a 32-29 victory. It kept Michigan’s perfect season alive at the time.

Nebraska is known to have one of the most passionate and enthusiastic fanbases in college football. You won’t get any argument from Harbaugh on that topic after experiencing such an electrifying atmosphere.
