John Cook, Nebraska volleyball HC, named AVCA National Coach of the Year
John Cook was named the AVCA National Coach of the Year for the 3rd time Thursday afternoon. The Nebraska volleyball head coach previously won the award in 2000 and 2005.
And Cook is deserving of the award. The Huskers sit at 32-1 on the season and will face off against Pitt in the Final Four tonight at 6 p.m. CT. In addition, Nebraska started the season 27-0 and held the No. 1 ranking for much of the year.
The Huskers earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and led the country in wins and winning percentage. Nebraska also won the Big Ten volleyball title this season.
Let him Cook.

Incredibly, Nebraska volleyball did not feature a single senior this season. The Huskers’ regular rotation features a group that includes 4 freshmen, including true freshman setter Bergen Reilly.
