Reports: Keyshawn Johnson Jr. no longer part of Nebraska program
A week and a half after Keyshawn Johnson Jr.’s marijuana citation, he’s reportedly no longer part of the Nebraska football program.
Nate Clouse of Rivals.com reported that Johnson returned to Los Angeles and will either take classes online or enroll in junior college. He did say that he hopes to return to the program in 2018.
The Omaha World-Herald’s Sam McKewon confirmed that report:

Johnson was an early enrollee at Nebraska as an integral member of the 2017 recruiting class.
The Calabasas (Los Angeles) wideout, who’s the son of former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson Sr., was part of the “Calibraska” movement that saw several blue-chip California recruits sign with Nebraska.
He was expected to compete for playing time immediately with Nebraska losing the majority of its production at receiver.
Johnson was cited for marijuana possession earlier in the month after campus police found 3.9 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a dorm room.
Nebraska hasn’t commented on the matter.
