Kirk Herbstreit trolls Nebraska’s struggles in 1-score games
Kirk Herbstreit decided to troll Nebraska’s recent struggles on College GameDay this morning.
“Nebraska figures out how to lose games better than anybody,” declared Herbstreit. “You know, they play well enough to win, and then they figure out how to lose.”
“I will say this- Nebraska figures out ways to lose games better than anybody.”- Kirk Herbstreit
“GameDay implications, Nebraska and Colorado.”- Rece Davis
“That’s what I hear.”- Herbstreit
“Oh yeah, we’re going out to the Mile High.”- Pat McAfee
“I didn’t say that.”- Davis pic.twitter.com/t5hQHhmhdq

Herbstreit certainly has a point, as Nebraska’s struggles in close games have been well-documented.
Over the last 3 seasons, the Huskers are just 2-14 straight-up in 1-score games. The team leads the FBS in 1-score losses.
.@HuskerFootball is now 2-14 straight up in 1 score games over the last 3 seasons
That’s the most 1 score losses in all of FBS over that span and 14 of their 18 losses over the last 3 years have been of the 1 score variety
Nebraska currently +2.5/+3 painted across the board

Nebraska’s next test will be against the Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes. The game will kick off at noon ET in Boulder, with the Huskers currently 3-point underdogs.
