Logan Smothers delivers beautiful 40-yard pass while under pressure, sets up Huskers TD
Nebraska freshman quarterback Logan Smothers is off to an impressive debut as a starter. Smothers kicked off his first start with a two-yard rushing touchdown on the opening 75-yard drive.

Smothers is replacing the injured Adrian Martinez.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Smothers headed into the contest with 119 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions this season. The Alabama native arrived at Nebraska as a four-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite. Smothers was rated as the No. 14 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and the No. 14 prospect from Alabama for the Class of 2020.
Nebraska leads the all-time series 29-19-3 but Iowa is on a six-game winning streak.
