This might be an all-time low for Nebraska, and it didn’t even happen on the field.

On Saturday morning, Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer created a graphic meant to wish the Huskers good luck as they traveled to Happy Valley to play No. 10 Penn State. The image was pretty cool, showing the team running onto the field with the letters “GBR” at the bottom, an acronym for “Go Big Red.”

There was just one problem — the senator put the wrong team in the image. And it wasn’t just any team, it was Rutgers.

Using the wrong team in the background is bad enough. But seriously, confusing Rutgers for Nebraska? My, how times have changed. I guess it’s probably appropriate considering how poorly the team has played this season.

Both Nebraska and Rutgers entered Week 12 with a 4-6 record and are fighting for bowl eligibility. To their credit, the Huskers did beat the Scarlet Knights earlier this season.

How soon can Scott Frost get to Lincoln?
