The Ohio State Marching Band made an incredible gesture toward Nebraska at halftime of Saturday’s game. It’s a moment that won’t be forgotten.
While the Buckeyes and Huskers headed to the locker room for halftime, The Best Damn Band in the Land paid tribute to a Nebraska band member who tragically died in car accident last week.
Tyler Butterfield, a 20-year-old member of Nebraska’s marching band, died in a car accident on Friday, Oct. 26. Fellow band members were made aware of his passing just hour prior to the Huskers’ game against Bethune-Cookman last week.
On Saturday, members of Ohio State’s band spelled out “TYLER” in marching formation.

Butterfield played the trumpet in Nebraska’s marching band.
