Marcus Satterfield has a new home. The former South Carolina offensive coordinator is set to take the same position at Nebraska. He joins the Huskers’ staff under new head coach Matt Rhule.

Satterfield has worked under Rhule in the past. The two were together at Temple, Baylor and the Carolina Panthers.

Satterfield confirmed his move on social media with his new Twitter bio indicating he will be the OC and coach TEs in Lincoln.

South Carolina enjoyed tremendous offensive success late in the season under Satterfield and head coach Shane Beamer. The Gamecocks put up 63 points on Tennessee in which quarterback Spencer Rattler tossed 6 touchdowns for 438 yards. The Gamecocks accounted for 606 total yards of offense on the night. South Carolina then followed that up with a 31-30 upset victory over rival Clemson.

Satterfield will look to turn around a Nebraska program that finished 4-8 this season and fired head coach Scott Frost earlier in the year. The Cornhuskers lost five straight games before securing a touchdown victory over Iowa to close out their season. In four of those defeats, Nebraska failed to score more than 14 points.

A lot of work for Satterfield to do in Lincoln.
