Stepp originally began his career at USC and rushed for 505 yards with the Trojans over parts of 3 seasons. He had the third-most carries of a running back for the Huskers in 2021 but was a part of a crowded running back room.
Nebraska is returning Rahmir Johnson, Jaquez Yant and a recovering Gabe Ervin Jr. to the backfield. The Huskers also added to the unit via the transfer portal, picking up talented JUCO back Anthony Grant for 2022.
