Marques Buford Jr. has provided some new life to Nebraska after a clutch interception against Georgia Southern.

Already with one pick on the day, Buford stepped up and made a huge interception as the Eagles were driving down the field. With Georgia Southern already holding a field goal lead, Georgia Southern appeared rolling toward a touchdown and potential two-possession lead.

On the interception play, Buford appeared to be initially beaten off the line. But the throw was slightly underthrown with Buford turning his head around to locate the pass and make the interception.

With less than 7 minutes to go in the game, Nebraska is clinging to a chance to get back into the game. Any points by Georgia Southern would have been a blow to momentum for Nebraska.

We’ll see if the Huskers can take advantage of Buford’s big play.
