The Nebraska Cornhuskers had yet another opportunity to have a signature win under head coach Scott Frost and takedown Michigan, but once again they blew it, losing to the Wolverines, 32-29. The Huskers were down at one point 13-0, at the half but scored 22 points in the third quarter to take the lead, 22-19.

The Huskers had a chance to win but a late fumble by quarterback Adrian Martinez cost them the game.

“I’m not going to stand up here and make excuses. I thought the play was over. I can’t be careless with the ball.”

Until that lost fumble, Martinez was having a good game throwing for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns, but once again the Cornhuskers couldn’t close out a game.

The good news for Nebraska is that they learned they can come back and play well against a good team, now they have to just learn how to close out games.
