Matt Rhule addresses Nebraska's loss to Minnesota: 'There's no such thing as close losses'
Matt Rhule’s debut was not exactly hat Nebraska fans were looking for. The Huskers fell to Minnesota Thursday night, 13-10 as Dragan Kesich’s 47-yard field goal sailed through the uprights as time expired.
Nebraska’s offense struggled greatly against Minnesota, with 3 costly turnovers at inopportune moments being the nail in the coffin in the season opener.
Jeff Sims did well on the ground but looked rough as a passer, to say the least. The Georgia Tech transfer finished the day having completed 11 of his 19 passes for 1 touchdown and, most importantly, 3 interceptions.
Rhule addressed reporters at the end of the game and insisted that, despite Nebraska’s reputation, he does not believe there is such a thing as a close loss.

For what it’s worth, Nebraska is 2-6 across the past 13 games in games decided by 7 or less points. This is nothing new to Nebraska, with or without Scott Frost it seems.
