Matt Rhule, Nebraska land commitment from 2023 CB out of IMG Academy

Matt Rhule earned a commitment from a player out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida on Monday. The player announced his commitment from his Twitter account.
Syncere Safeeullah is heading to Lincoln to play for Rhule. Safeeullah is listed as a 3-star CB from the 2023 class per the 247Sports Composite. The Huskers were the only B1G school to show interest in Safeeullah. He picked Nebraska over Ball State, Boston College, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, and Memphis.
247Sports has Safeeullah as the No. 111 CB in his class. Safeeullah has a visit scheduled with the Huskers on Dec. 16.

Now that Safeeullah has signed on, Nebraska has 13 total commits from the 2023 class. 10 of them are 3-star commits, with one 4-star commit so far.
Safeeullah’s commitment is some good news for the program as QB William Watson III recently flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech.
The CB out of IMG Academy is the second player at his position to commit to Nebraska.
