Matt Rhule and Nebraska were dealt a blow this week on the recruiting trail when 5-star quarterback Dylan Raiola announced his commitment to Georgia. Due to family ties to the program, Raiola was a strong target for the Huskers in the 2024 recruiting class.

Fortunately, Rhule and his staff have responded by landing their QB commitment for the cycle. That news came Saturday when in-state prospect, Daniel Kaelin out of Bellevue West High School announced his commitment to Nebraska.

Kaelin generated a host of Power 5 offers for the cycle and previously committed to Missouri in March. He re-opened his recruitment Friday and wasted no time announcing his pledge to the Huskers on Saturday.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 198 pounds, Kaelin is rated as a pro-style QB and a 3-star recruit for the class of 2024. The 247 Sports Composite rates Kaelin as the No. 32 QB for the cycle and the 4th overall player out of Nebraska.

So far, Nebraska holds 7 commitments for the class of 2024 with that group ranked 32nd nationally by the team composite.
