Matt Rhule ripped for loss to Iowa, winless November for Nebraska
Matt Rhule made some interesting decisions in the final minutes of Nebraska’s loss to Iowa, and it may have cost his team the win.
Fans started tearing into Rhule for his poor clock management after Iowa kicked the game-winning field goal to earn the 13-10 victory. One fan even called for Rhule to hire a clock management specialist.
Rhule had a decent shot at getting Nebraska to a bowl game coming into November. The Cornhuskers then lost the last 4 games of the year to miss a chance of clinching a spot in a bowl game during the regular season.
Rhule’s record in close games was mentioned as the head coach is now 1-5 in games decided by single digits. Scott Frost comparisons were also made.
Year 1 of the Matt Rhule era had a regular season finish of 5-7. Here are some reactions to the poor finish:
