Weaver will now be playing on the OL for the Huskers. It was actually Weaver who came to Joseph with the idea to change positions. Joseph confirmed the switch and stated that Weaver is going to be playing tackle.
Weaver played in one game for Nebraska last season. He has not seen the field yet this season. Weaver recorded 1 tackle in that game he played against Fordham.

The Nebraska DL came to Lincoln from the 2021 class. Weaver was a 3-star EDGE out of high school per the 247Sports Composite. At 6-foot-8, 345 pounds he could be of use to the Nebraska offensive line.
It’s unclear at this time if Weaver will immediately start getting time in games as an offensive lineman, or if the team will decide to ease him into his new position.
We’ll keep you posted if anything new comes out.
