Mickey Joseph and the Huskers couldn’t come up with a stop when they needed it, falling to Purdue 43-37 in a high-scoring affair Saturday night. However, Joseph did not sound disappointed with his team after the game.

During his postgame press conference, Joseph said his message to the team was “keep their head up, block out the noise and get back here on Monday.” Joseph was also proud that “Our boys fought.”

Nebraska certainly battled back multiple times late in the game. Led by Casey Thompson and a record-setting day for Trey Palmer, the Huskers closed the game every time and forced Purdue to convert in some big moments to put the game away.

While losing never feels good, Joseph at least believes the effort was there from the Huskers in a tough road environment.
