Mickey Joseph will serve as interim HC for Nebraska, program says.
Mickey Joseph will serve as interim head coach in Scott Frost’s place. The program fired Frost Sunday afternoon.
Frost was 16-31 at Nebraska across 5 seasons and had a habit of losing close games to make the loss that much more painful. Joseph absolutely cannot do any worse.
Joseph most recently served at LSU as a wide receivers coach.

Joseph spent 2016-2021 at LSU, previously making stops at Louisiana Tech, Grambling State, Alcorn State and many other Group of 5 schools.
Nebraska continues its season against No. 7 Oklahoma next week. That’s quite the first test of Joseph in the interim.
He will be Nebraska athletics’ first black head coach, per report.
As interim, Mickey Joseph is the first Black head coach in Nebraska history.
