Mickey Joseph's first Husker game ball immortalized in brilliant painting
Mickey Joseph got his first game ball after the win over Indiana in Week 4. Local licensed artist Ashley Spitsnogle decided to immortalize that moment with a painting.
Spitsnogle posted a video on her Instagram of her bringing the painting to life.
The entire Joseph family got to see her creation in person. The Nebraska football account on Twitter posted a picture of the family along with Spitsnogle as she surprised the family with the painting once it was finished.

The team ended up beating Rutgers 14-13 the following week which was its first time beating B1G schools back-to-back since 2018. Joseph now has Nebraska at 3-4 and the Huskers still have a chance of making a bowl game.
Maybe if Nebraska can make a bowl game Spitsnogle will do another painting to celebrate the achievement. The last time that the Huskers were in the postseason was in the 2016 Music City Bowl.
Nebraska faces Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa to close out the 2022 season. Week 9’s game against Illinois kicks off at 3:30 pm ET on ABC.
