There’s still no news on the Mike Riley front.
Saturday morning, the current Nebraska head coach walked into Memorial Stadium and was met by a slew of reporters. While the media was hoping to learn of Riley’s status with the program, he told them he didn’t have any answers.
“How are you guys,” Riley was reported saying as he entered the stadium. “I don’t have any news.”

Nebraska was pummeled 56-14 by Iowa on Friday night, a disappointing finish to a disappointing season. Many expected Riley would be fired shortly after the game or early Saturday morning. But, apparently, there’s still no news on that front.
The Huskers ended the year with a 4-8 record, the second losing season in Riley’s three-year run. Nebraska is 19-19 since 2015.
On Friday night, Lars Anderson of Bleacher Report tweeted that a source close to the program confirmed that Scott Frost and Nebraska was a “done deal.” If that’s true, Riley still hasn’t been notified.
