Mike Riley has landed another job.

Wednesday, the XFL’s Seattle franchise announced that head coach Jim Zorn has named several additions to his coaching staff. Riley was one of the new assistants and he’ll be the team’s offensive coordinator.

Riley lands the job after serving as the head coach of the now defunct AAF’s San Antonio Commanders. It will be his second professional gig since being fired by Nebraska after the 2017 season.

As a head coach in the AAF, Riley was 5-3.

Riley was the head coach at Nebraska from 2015-17 and was 19-19 in three seasons with the Huskers. He led the team to two bowl games in three years, but was fired following a 4-8 campaign in 2017. Nebraska finished with just one winning record under Riley’s direction.

Riley brings over four decades of coaching experience to the XFL.
