NBC hosted an eventful weekend of football across their platforms.

Perhaps no game was a bigger win from a viewership perspective than Colorado vs. Nebraska on Saturday night.

The matchup between the old rivals is officially the most-watched Big Ten Saturday Night game since the series debuted last season. Despite the lopsided final score, the game averaged 6.3 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, per the network.

This game was much anticipated by many in the college football world, but it got out of hand quickly. The Huskers took a 28-0 lead over the Buffaloes into halftime and never looked back. The Huskers would go on to win the Big 12 matchup by a score of 28-10, and it could have been worse.

While Deion Sanders is a massive draw, the rabid Nebraska fanbase also has to be credited. For the first time in years, the Huskers seemingly have positive momentum and are building their program back up. After the impressive showing on a national stage, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Nebraska games continue to get huge ratings in 2024.

In Week 3, the Big Ten Saturday Night game will be a matchup between Indiana and UCLA in Los Angeles.
