Nebraska AD Bill Moos hoping recruits notice Huskers putting student-athletes first during push to play
It has been a busy week for Nebraska.
This week for the Cornhuskers started with the news that Wisconsin was dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19 within the football program. That outbreak is still ongoing with Barry Alvarez announcing more positive tests Saturday morning.
Once the Cornhuskers knew their Week 2 was canceled, the team pivoted to try and find a non-conference opponent that would be willing to play at Nebraska. Nebraska found that opponent in UT-Chattanooga. In the end, the B1G struck down that chance to play by upholding that no non-conference games will be played in 2020.
Following that story, Nebraska AD Bill Moos said Saturday that he hopes recruits saw the story as it developed throughout the week. Moos believes the effort to play shows how Nebraska is willing to always put the chances of its student-athletes first.
Bill Moos hopes recruits noticed NU's efforts to play football today.
"I hope the message for prospects around the country is, 'Hey, these guys at Nebraska will fight for their student-athletes in every aspect,'" he said. "I think we just showed that again."
