Nebraska adds 2025 commitment from local Lincoln wing
Nebraska has landed a commitment from Lincoln (Neb.) Southwest forward Braden Frager.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound wing announced his commitment to Fred Hoiberg and the Huskers on Friday. He picked up an offer from the program back in May, right around the same time Creighton extended a scholarship. Northwestern, Iowa State, and Iowa have all jumped into his recruitment since, but the hometown Huskers ultimately won out.

Frager is a 3-star prospect and becomes the latest local kid to join Hoiberg’s squad. In each of the last two recruiting cycles, Hoiberg has added a Lincoln native from the transfer portal — Sam Griesel in 2022, Josiah Allick in 2023. Jake Muhleisen (2001) is the last scholarship recruit from Lincoln to commit to and play for Nebraska, per Hurrdat Sports’ Jacob Padilla.
He averaged 11.4 points and seven rebounds a game as a sophomore last season for Southwest.
Padilla tracked his play with ETG after the Southwest season concluded:
2025 @LSWHoops wing @BradenFrager was ETG’s other primary option, equaling Bahl at 13.3 PPG on 49.5% FG and 73.2% FT with 6.4 RPG, 2.4 APG and 1.1 S+BPG.
He had 15 double-digit scoring games including a monster 30-point, 9-rebound performance vs. Howard Pulley in the spring.
