Nebraska adds commitment from in-state OL to class of 2023
Nebraska landed an in-state prospect for the class of 2023 Sunday evening.
The player is Sam Sledge, an offensive lineman out of Omaha. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 270 lbs., Sledge announced his commitment in a note on social media.
“I would like to start off by saying thank you to my family for helping me through this whole recruiting process and supporting me with all the decisions I have made,” wrote Sledge on Twitter. “With that being said, I have decided to commit to the University of Nebraska. Thank you Coach Frost, Coach Raiola, Coach Ruud and the rest of the staff for giving me this great opportunity to be a part of the Husker Family!”

Sledge is unrated by the Composite Rankings but is rated as a 3-star prospect and the No. 5 prospect in Nebraska for the cycle by 247 Sports. He also had offers from Miami (Oh.) and Kansas.
Sledge becomes the 4th overall commit for Nebraska’s 2023 recruiting class and the 3rd in-state commitment for the cycle. That group is currently headlined by 3-star OL Gunnar Gottula.
