Nebraska has found a new assistant basketball coach.

Jimmy Watkins of the Omaha World-Herald reported Monday that Adam Howard has been added to Fred Hoiberg’s staff as an assistant coach. He comes to Lincoln after spending the last four years at South Alabama, where he was the associate head coach.

Hoiberg has made some changes to his staff since the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. The Huskers finished the year with a 10-22 record which included a 4-16 mark in B1G play.

Howard began his coaching career at Morehead State as a graduate assistant. Since then, he’s had stops at Southern Miss, Tennessee and Troy. He played at Western Kentucky from 2004-08.
