Nebraska adds special teams analyst to staff
Nebraska has added to its 2020 coaching staff.
On Tuesday, the Huskers added Jonathan Rutledge as a special teams analyst. He comes to Lincoln after spending the last two seasons at Auburn in a the same role. Rutledge released a statement on Twitter announcing he’ll be joining Scott Frost and company this year.
“We are so excited to officially announce we are headed to the University of Nebraska,” Rutledge wrote on Twitter. “We can’t thank Coach Frost enough for giving us the opportunity to help bring championships back to this proud, storied institution and state.”

Rutledge has also had stops Missouri and Memphis, working in similar roles with those two programs.
Nebraska’s special teams struggled last season in several capacities, particularly in the field goal kicking game. The Huskers battled injuries and inconsistency at kicker, causing issues in that area.
Frost and the Huskers are hoping to correct some of those problems this season.
