Grant Detlefsen announced his verbal commitment on Twitter, linking him to the Cornhuskers. Detlefsen is from Lincoln, Neb. and averaged over 42 yards per punt as a sophomore and junior according to maxpreps.com.
Every team needs a punter, and Nebraska may have just found one right in its own backyard.
The Cornhuskers’ 2019 class is 16 members strong. According to 247Sports, it ranks as the No. 27 class nationally and No. 6 in the Big Ten.
This class will be one that fans and the media can always point to and say that it was coach Scott Frost’s first full class at Nebraska.
