Nebraska went to the desert to secure the commitment of 3-star offensive lineman Alexander Ruggeroli.

Ruggeroli hails from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman. The 247Sports Composite lists him as the No. 91 OT and No. 5 prospect from Nevada in the 2024 class. He comes in at a massive 6-foot-6, 286 pounds.

“I am thrilled to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska to play football and further my academic studies as a student and player. I am immensely grateful for the belief and support shown by each coach throughout this process,” said Ruggeroli. “Your guidance and dedication have been instrumental in shaping me as a player and a person. I’m eager to bring my best to the team and contribute to all the tradition of excellence at Nebraska. All glory to God.”

The Huskers were the only B1G program who sent Ruggeroli an offer, but he also had interest from Washington State, Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, and UNLV.

Nebraska finished towards the bottom of the B1G in sacks allowed this year and needs all the help it can get between the trenches. The Huskser allowed 2.50 sacks per game this year, which was the 3rd-most in the conference.

Ruggeroli joins 4-star commit Grant Brix as the 2nd OT commit for Matt Rhule and Nebraska. Here’s a highlight of Nebraska’s most recent commit:
