Nebraska is gearing up for the spring practice session and looking forward to the annual spring game down the road!

Earlier this week, Husker AD Trev Alberts revealed the details for the annual spring game. The date will be April 27 inside Memorial Stadium, and Nebraska is shaking things up with an 11 a.m. local start time.

During an appearance on Huskers Radio Network, Alberts dived into some of the specifics around the shake-up to the annual event:

“The spring game’s going to be at 11 am. Part of the reason for this is we think it’s going to be kind of a cool day to spend with the Huskers for families who might come to town,” said Alberts.

Alberts explained Nebraska will also be hosting regular-season baseball and softball games on April 27. Setting the spring game for 11 am will provide Cornhusker fans a chance to experience multiple sports in one trip to Lincoln.

“We’ve got softball and baseball times on the same day. So if we do the spring game at 11 o’clock, at about 1:30 — we’re not sure yet — but you have a chance maybe to see Dylan Raiola and Danny Kaelin and some of the new folks in the spring game. 1:30, check out Jordy Bahl and then baseball maybe an hour later,” Alberts explained.

“Kind of just want to celebrate Husker Athletics a little bit and make it convenient for all of our fans to get a little access.”
