The Nebraska Cornhuskers made the hire of the offseason when they brought in former QB Scott Frost to run the team as head coach.

Since then, excitement has been steadily building in Lincoln, and on Saturday, that excitement boiled over into a massive turnout for the spring game.

As you can see below, Nebraska announced an incredible attendance total for Frost’s coaching debut at his alma mater:

Considering the “official” capacity of Memorial Stadium is only 85,458, this was a sellout and then some.

Though spring game attendances don’t usually matter, this one will be notable for Frost as he continues to try to recruit top players to Nebraska.

As long as Frost keeps winning, he’s sure to keep drawing sellouts from a fanbase desperate for a good team to root for.
