Nebraska is making some coaching changes official Sunday afternoon.

The Huskers announced that Special Teams Coordinator Bill Busch will assume the role of Defensive Coordinator. That move comes following news that interim coach Mickey Joseph made the call to let go of DC Erik Chinander.

A massive staff overhaul is in the works after the program let go of Scott Frost, which will likely continue as they search for a new coach.

The Cornhusker program is currently in damage control, as they look to salvage a season that is seemingly already lost. Nebraska surrendered 49 points to Oklahoma, and the defense hadn’t shown much promise this season under Chinander.

Busch now faces the tall task of cleaning up a defense that allowed 580 yards to Oklahoma and 640 yards to Georgia Southern. Expect more personnel changes as the season rolls on.
