Nebraska athletics has decided to distance itself from a FOX Sport promotional ad that likens the Huskers to move ‘Children of the Corn.’

According to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald, the athletic department has asked FOX Sports to stop running the advertisement. Though it will not be seen on television, the video is expected to still be available on Twitter.

The promotional ad is a take on the 1977 Stephen King horror story, “Children of the Corn,” which was later made into a film. David Witty, senior associate athletic director for marketing and communications, said that’s not how the university wants to be represented.

“It’s not really the direction we want the brand to go in,” he told the World-Herald.

FOX Sports released 14 football promos for the upcoming season, one for each B1G team. In case you didn’t se the Nebraska ad, it can be viewed below.
