Nebraska backup QB exploring transfer options
Nebraska backup quarterback Andrew Bunch is exploring his options and could potentially be looking to transfer from the program, according to head coach Scott Frost.
Frost recently spoke with KLKN-TV regarding Bunch’s status, explaining that the quarterback could potentially be moving on from Lincoln. However, Frost did say that there’s still a door open for Bunch and he’d be welcomed back to the team if he decides to stay.
“He just wants to explore his options and see if there’s a place out there where he can get on the field and play,” Frost said. “If he doesn’t find that, then we’ll welcome him back here with open arms.”

True freshman Adrian Martinez was named the Huskers’ starter prior to the start of the 2018 season. After a sensation campaign, it’s hard to imagine that the starting job would be in question for the next few years.
Bunch did see some playing time this year, coming in for Martinez after he sustained an injury late against Colorado. He made his first start against Troy, completing 19-of-27 passes for 177 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
For the season, Bunch appeared in five games, throwing for 320 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He completed 31-of-47 passes.
