Nebraska baseball may not have had the best 2022 season, finishing with a 23-30 record, but the Cornhuskers got some good news on Wednesday. A former Oklahoma State infielder is heading to Lincoln.
Cayden Brumbaugh announced his decision to transfer to Nebraska from his Twitter account on Wednesday morning. He had a .318 batting average as a freshman this past season, with 1 RBI and an OBP of .348. Brumbaugh comes in at 5-foot-9, 175 pounds. The Cornhuskers will surely appreciate the offense that he can bring to the plate.
Here’s what he had to say about his decision:
“I would like to thank Oklahoma State University for the opportunity to compete and play at such a high level,” said Brumbaugh. “Memories were made that will never be forgotten. With that being said, I have decided it is in my best interest to transfer to the University of Nebraska.”
