Nebraska baseball: Long Beach State announces weekend series canceled

Changes are being made to Nebraska baseball’s schedule this week.
Long Beach State announced that the team won’t be coming to Lincoln this weekend due to weather.
Due to the weather forecast in Nebraska, our series with the Huskers has been canceled.

Evan Bland of the Omaha World-Herald details that the weather forecast calls for freezing temperatures with possible snow on the ground. A source told Bland that the Huskers are “hoping to find an opponent for this weekend, probably on the road.”
The Long Beach State news follows another weather-related schedule change. Monday afternoon, Nebraska announced that the midweek game at Kansas State has been moved from Tuesday at 6 p.m. to Wednesday at 4 p.m. The Wildcats’ return to KSU has been impacted by weather.

Nebraska is scheduled to host New Mexico State for a 2-game midweek series (Tuesday and Wednesday) March 15-16.
