Nebraska received a boost to its 2024 recruiting class on Friday as 4-star recruit Nick Janowski committed to the Cornhuskers.

Headed into the weekend, Janowski announced his intentions by tweeting “100% committed” alongside a picture of himself in Nebraska gear.

Here’s his announcement:

The 6-foot-4 guard is Nebraska’s first commitment of the 2024 class, having chosen the Cornhuskers over multiple offers from schools like Wisconsin, Iowa, Marquette, Iowa State, and USC. Janowski made his decision after making an official visit to Nebraska 3 weeks ago.

Janowski is a huge get for the Cornhuskers. The 4-star recruit is the No. 5-ranked combo-guard in the country and the No. 2-ranked player in Wisconsin. Janowski was an early target for the Huskers, and received an offer back in June of 2022.

He’s set to join a Nebraska program that is entering its 5th season under head coach Fred Hoiberg. The Huskers have not made the NCAA Tournament since 2014.
