Nebraska basketball: Lincoln the site of multi-team event in 2020, will include Huskers
Lincoln will be the site of one multi-team event in college basketball this season. CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported the news this week.
Per Rothstein, Elevate Hoops will be hosting an event in Lincoln that will feature Nebraska, LSU, Northern Iowa, Nevada, Illinois State and Cleveland State. The report also states that more teams are expected to be added to the field.
Whether the event will be tournament style or round robin was not mentioned.

Changes in the college basketball schedule have been manufacturing for several days as athletic departments continue to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. With tournaments and events being relocated, canceled or teams dropping out, there’s been a window of opportunity for new events to be created.
There’s still a lot of moving parts in college basketball right now, but it seems that several cities are planning to host major events this fall and winter.
