Nebraska cashes in muffed punt, capitalizes streak of 24 unanswered points vs. Iowa

Nebraska is pushing ever closer to an upset of Iowa in the Black Friday Heroes Game. With the Hawkeyes looking at a potential B1G West title, it has been the Huskers who opened the game on fire and playing lights out.
After building a 17-0 lead at halftime, Nebraska cashed in another error by Iowa in the 3rd quarter. The Hawkeye defense forced a quick punt and stood poised to get the ball back, but that punt was muffed.
Nebraska pounced on it to recover another takeaway deep in the Hawkeyes’ territory.
On the ensuing possession, Casey Thompson would throw his 3rd touchdown of the game. This time, it went to Marcus Washington and made it 24-0 in the second half.
We’ll see if Nebraska can finish it off but the Huskers are rolling right now:
