Nebraska has won over Quinton Newsome, and the Huskers cornerback is trying to win over the state.

In a recent interview, Newsome paid major respect to the state of Nebraska and the fans of the Huskers. He had nothing but good things to say since arriving in Lincoln from Suwanee, Georgia.

“The people here care about you way more than anywhere else,” Newsome said in a video posted by 1011 Now. “You go down south, people are not really as nice to you. A stranger is not just gonna say, ‘Hey, how you doing?’ and just come up and talk to you. It’s just different things that made me really want to come here.”

Nebraska is known for having one of the most passionate fanbases in all of college football, but Newsome says it’s the kindness he also appreciates. The unwavering support is nice, too.

Over his first two seasons in Lincoln, Newsome has played in 18 career games for the Huskers, making 11 tackles and forcing a fumble.
