Nebraska coach Scott Frost outlines offseason schedule, sets date for spring game
Nebraska coach Scott Frost gave fans an idea of what the Huskers’ offseason schedule will look like on Wednesday night.
In an interview with Husker Sports Network, Frost said the program is planning on May 1st as the date for this year’s spring game. That’s mostly a result of pushing spring practice back to allow enough time for a five-week winter conditioning program.
Scott Frost announces spring football will be moved back (think late March) to get five weeks of winter conditioning.

Frost said most players returned this past weekend, but a quarantine period is now required to ensure health and safety. Nebraska’s spring semester starts on Monday.
Nebraska fans should expect the winter conditioning program to begin on Monday, which would allow for spring practice to start in late March and run through April.
The Huskers will be looking to get back on track to bowl eligibility in their fourth season under Frost. Nebraska hasn’t participated in bowl season since 2016, although that drought includes the last year of Mike Riley’s tenure.
Nebraska opens next season in Dublin, Ireland, against Illinois.
