Nebraska made numerous mistakes on special teams last week including: two missed extra points, shanked punts and a play where team captain Cam Taylor-Britt fielded on a punt on the 1-yard line and attempted to throw a forward pass for a safety.
There is seemingly nowhere to go but up on the special teams’ side of the ball as the Huskers get ready to face FCS foe, Fordham, for the home opener this Saturday.
The Huskers opened the season with a loss last Saturday to the Illini 30-22 to start the year 0-1.
The Huskers home opener is this Saturday, Sept. 4, against FCS opponent the Fordham Rams at noon ET on BTN.
