Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports recently provided an update on the Nebraska HC search. The Huskers are expected to be one of the top available HC jobs after firing Scott Frost back in September.

Feldman listed 4 candidates who would reportedly interest the Huskers, including Matt Rhule, Jeff Monken, Bill O’Brien and Gary Patterson.

Rhule is known for rebuilding the Baylor and Temple programs. Rhule was most recently HC of the Carolina Panthers.

Monken has been the HC at Georgia Southern and Army, and has a 99-64 record in his career.

O’Brien has been with Nick Saban at Alabama since being fired by the Houston Texans. O’Brien was the HC at Penn State for 2 seasons, winning the Paul “Bear” Bryant College Coach of the Year Award in 2012.

Patterson was the HC at TCU from 2000-2021, compiling a 181-79 record and going 11-6 in bowl games. Patterson is currently a special assistant to Steve Sarkisian at Texas.

Be sure to stay tuned throughout the season for updates on the Husker’s coaching search.
