Saturday has not been kind to Nebraska’s defensive backs early on.

In the pre-game warmups, safety Myles Farmer was carted off the field after apparently injuring his right leg. He was seen on the broadcast as the game started with a cast on his right leg but his status is not yet updated.

Then, in the second quarter, defensive back Nadab Joseph was carted off the field after an awkward fall trying to make a tackle on the sideline. His status has also not been updated, but the play and reaction did not look good.

Joseph was a JUCO transfer to the Huskers for 2020 after previously playing at Independence Community College. Hopefully his injury is not serious.

On the field, Nebraska has looked sharp early against Purdue with multiple stops and some big offensive plays. It is currently 27-10, Huskers with the game still in the second quarter. A win would be a good boost for Nebraska as the team waits for more results on the pair of defenders.
