Nebraska DL hits transfer portal following second season with Huskers
A Nebraska defensive lineman and former junior college standout has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald reported the news.
Jordon Riley has entered his name into the transfer database after his second season with the Huskers. The defensive lineman played in 17 games over the past two years, including 11 appearances during the 2021 campaign.
During his two years in Lincoln, Riley was credited with 8 total tackles, 7 of which came last fall. He also had 1 tackle for loss during Nebraska’s 3-9 season.
Prior to his arrival at Nebraska, Riley spent the 2019 season at Garden City Community College. In his lone year with the team, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman racked up 26 stops, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks on a squad that finished ranked No. 9 nationally at the JUCO level.
Before his one-year stop at Garden City C.C., Riley began his career at North Carolina. He was in Chapel Hill for two years. He played in two games during the 2017 season as a true freshman and was credited with 4 tackles. He did not log any action the following year.
Riley will be making his fourth stop at the college level if he transfers out of Nebraska. He will have one season of eligibility to use at his next destination.
