Nebraska picked up its 3rd commitment of the day on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskers added 3-star defensive back Callen Barta to their 2024 recruiting class. Barta, a Kansas native, earned his Nebraska offer at a camp then committed on his official visit this weekend.

Barta follows 2 other Father’s Day commitments for Nebraska: linebacker Braylen Prude and offensive lineman Jake Peters.
Barta is the No. 156 safety in the country for the class of 2024, according to 247Sports. He’s also the No. 10 player from the state of Kansas.
He attends Seaman High School in Topeka, Kansas. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds.
Nebraska now has 12 commitments in the class of 2024. Barta is the 2nd defensive back to join the class, alongside 4-star cornerback Mario Buford.
