Nebraska earns pledge from key in-state WR, multi-sport prospect via class of 2023
Nebraska added to its 2023 class once again on Saturday. A multi-sport athlete is heading to Lincoln for both football and track per The Athletics’ Mitch Sherman.
Jaylen Lloyd is heading to Lincoln. Lloyd is a 3-star WR from the 2023 class per the 247Sports Composite out of Omaha, Nebraska. Lloyd is the second player from Westside High School to commit to the Huskers in the last two days.
Lloyd comes in at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds. 247Sports has Lloyd as the No. 86 player at his position and the 10th-ranked player in the state. Lloyd recently took a visit to Lincoln on Dec. 9 and it must have worked.
Jaylen Lloyd commits to Nebraska for football and track, following his mother, Dahlia (Ingram) Lloyd, the former track All-American.
Second commitment from Omaha Westside in two days and part of a massive recruiting weekend for the Huskers.

Nebraska’s 2023 class currently has 16 commits in it. Matt Rhule now has three wideouts in the class with Lloyd’s recent commitment.
The Huskers will need to make up for the loss of Trey Palmer after the Nebraska wideout announced that he’ll be heading to the 2023 NFL Draft.
