Nebraska football dipped into the transfer portal Tuesday to add a commitment from former Utah offensive lineman Tyler Knaak.

Knaak, who stands at 6-7, 300 pounds, chose the Huskers over offers from Kentucky and Appalachian State, among others. He redshirted for the Utes last season and will have 4 seasons of eligibility remaining.

Knaak is the 3rd offensive line transfer commit for Nebraska, joining former Georgia tackle Jacob Hood and former Arizona State center Ben Scott

He spoke to Rivals about committing to the Huskers prior to Tuesday’s announcement:

“I chose Nebraska because of my connections with the coaches and the sense of belonging I had felt in the visit,” Knaak told Inside Nebraska. “This staff made me feel wanted and like I was already a piece of their family the second I got off the plane in Lincoln. This staff believes in me and constantly reassured me that this could be my home.”
