Nebraska football players applaud school for maintaining safe environment, ready to play this fall
Several student-athletes playing college football have voiced concerns about playing the sport through a pandemic. That doesn’t seem to be much of a problem at Nebraska.
Not long after the B1G released its revised schedule for the 2020 college football season, members of the Huskers football team took to Twitter to share their excitement about playing football this fall. Several also reiterated how well the Nebraska staff has done at maintaining a safe and healthy environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Below are some of the tweets sent out from Nebraska’s football players on Wednesday:

There were plenty of other players who tweeted out, as well.
Nebraska players feeling like their health and safety has been a priority at the school is a huge step in the right direction to having a college football season. If teams follow B1G protocols, it gives the league an infinitely better shot at getting the season played.
It looks like Nebraska is ready for that season opener against Rutgers on Sept. 5.
